A parallel cycle zebra crossing across Strathfillan Road, on the West Mains Road cycleway, that does not involve deviation from the alignment of the cycleway (as happens at some other junctions).
The proper cycleway ends just after where the boys are walking, and becomes a shared footway as far as the Burncrooks Avenue junction. Beyond that there is no cycle facility, although the Stewartfield path branches off just before.
